Fresh LAN games needed

...mmmmm, Sturmovik, I'm a sucker for flight sims, ever since the good ole days of b/w Fokker triplane. I hope it's not too arcady (is that a word?).

IL2: Forgotten Battles— arcade-ish? How do I say this... I'm still trying to get the hang of re-starting a P-38's engine in mid-flight. Whilst in single-engined flight, I switch into the dead motor, throttle back to 30% power, prop governor all the way down, and close the radiator. Un-feather the dead prop, then I try kicking on the starter.

Here's the tricky part: the engine spools up— you can tell as the appropriate motor's needle on manifold pressure gauge drops into normal aspiration, then jumps up as the turbocharger starts turning. But if you don't feed the engine enough gas in time, the motor starves out again and goes cold once more. It's taken me two or three tries to crank one of those Allisons and keep it lit (in flight).

This ain't no Afterburner ported to PC, I assure you. Right now I'm trying to learn the ropes in Single Player mode through a pilot career with the Red Air Force, flying the cannon-armed variant of the MiG-3 stretch. Talk around the hangar says that the MiG is a fast little high-altitude kite— swift in the long stretch while not as agile as some may like (especially at low altitude). What I didn't know was that the MiG's speed meant that the airframe's redline lay somewhere within her dive limits: you point that sucker down and dive in on a German far below you— make sure you don't go too fast, or you'll find significantly important pieces of MiG now missing from your crate!
