I had points all over the place. Everything looked cool, so I put points into almost everything. I don't think I put 20 into thorns, but I spread them around so much, I don't think I had 20 points available for any one skill.
Even so, I made it through normal and nightmare with him. Hell turned out to be just too painful. He retired in Hell/2, and I haven't had much interest in playing him farther.
However, playing that pally gave me the experience with the build so that I knew what I wanted when I played another one. My next build was a variant, the elven fighter.
Oh, and thanks for the link to the name generator. I will check that out. :)
