For what it's worth, 19 September is the Day of San Genarro, the Patron Saint of the City of Naples, Italy. On this day, in the Duomo (cathedral) in downtown Napoli, the high officials check to see if his blood, which has been preserved in a flask since the 1500's or so, liquefies or not. If it does, good luck, if not, bad luck for the city.
