I'm not that big a fan of 2D Zelda-like scrollers -- however the code hacking part is the coolest part. I fear total open hacking of stuff would get boring once you figure out how to make yourself god like, and your foes wimps. I was really into RobotWar by Silas Warner. If it were more like that, I'd be most interested. Also, later I moved up to Crobots
