I've never heard of people respawning games for the sake of events unless they're farming mats for the Staff of Herding or trying to get a specific achievement. The event rewards have never been big enough to encourage that type of thing to my knowledge -- although they can be fun to do if you're adventuring in the area anyway.

Exactly. It's impractical to exploit yet it's a nice bonus if you're in the area. That is ideal for the current situation.
