I figured I may as well piggy-back my own thread 
I just tried my hand at Act II/Inferno (yes, I was waiting for it to be nerfed). Got killed by the first Elite I saw. I managed to take them out in the end, but there is clearly still some degree of step-up from Act I to Act II (just not the `wall' people used to experience). Here are my current stats:
38K Life
4K Armour / 57% Damage Reduction
324 Resist All / 52% Damage Resistance
18% Block / 32% Dodge
14K DPS
Is it worth sticking around Act II like this, or would I be better served continuing to farm Act I until I have better gear?
