As an interesting variation on the bugs regarding overeager damage reporting, I saw a situation where a player was killed by a Chain Lightning storm, resurrected in town, and arrived dead in town. I suspect this is because the storm was so intense that he continued to receive "damage player" messages while he was resurrecting. Diablo normally ignores such messages when the attacker is on a different dungeon level, but apparently it set his life to 1 HP, processed some incoming messages, and then set his dungeon level to town. He thus died again while in the town loading screen and arrived dead. As expected from the other "dead in town" bugs, he was unable to restart in town and required someone to come resurrect him.
