Translations are an endless source of amusement. The one I liked best (or the one that I can remember at the moment 
) was from some "South America Revolution Movie".
"We have to protect the airstrip!"
Which turned into:
"Wir müssen den Luftstreifen verteidigen!"
"Airstrip" translated to -> Strip of Air. Ouch.
