It gladdens me to know that the mere threat of a visitation by that bunch is sufficient to draw folks together in such a positive way as you described. Perhaps that response can be copied in Manitoba.

One wishes that in the case of Phelps and his crew, one could ignore them and they'd go away. Problem is, the choose specific times and places to intrude on people in order to generate buzz and attention, and thus are unignorable due to the media playing into the hands of the Phelpsians. It is indeed hard not to look at the social train wreck these people inflict with their visitations. The key to a counter protest is in it positive aim, its pro people aim and theme.
