I keep hoping that they haven't listed hunter stuff yet because they are working on fixing how the shots work so that you don't get a list like this for best DPS weapons for a BM hunter source. (Though I don't think that thread is stickied anymore)
A 73.7 DPS world drop weapon should never be better DPS than a 95.8 DPS weapon that drops off the last boss of the expansion. But well that is the way things are right now. So I'm hoping they are fixing that first then working on the other stuff. Having to use Cheeky's spreadsheet to find out if that 88 DPS weapon is actually better than your 75 DPS weapon should not be a requirement for high end play. At least all most other classes have to do is look at the bonuses on the weapon and then look at the damage range (not the DPS) and you can usually tell pretty quickly. Yeah enh shaman run into some of this as well, but not as badly.
And yes the list will change some as the rest of your gear changes and haste rating on gear can have a huge effect on the list as well.
And yes things aren't as out of whack for SV/MM hunters but well beast is top DPS in end game so it being so wonky is actually worse than if one of the lower DPS specs was so wonky.
This is of course nothing new. Hunter weapon speed was just as important pre TBC but for different reasons than it is now (back then it was because of how aimed shot and auto shot worked, now it's because of how steady shot and auto shot work, things are better now I think but they aren't there yet).
So my hope is that is getting fixed first then they'll work on the rest of the stuff for that class. :)
