First of all, Teldrassil > all other pre-expansion starting areas with Elwynn Forest and Tirisfal Glades as a close seconds. Durotar and Mulgore are the worst.

Second, I hope you're not taking away from this that it's a bad starting area. Quite the contrary. It's awesome -- and gets better the further you go into it. Stay tuned.
