The ID card in "Safe" implied two possibilities to me: he was either a former officer in the Alliance military or law enforcement services; or he was a ruling official who took a "sabbatical" from any official capacities and wanted the see the 'verse without all the gilding and rose-tinted glasses. Sort of like a king dressing up as a pauper to see how his subjects really lived and thought of him. The latter was my favorite theoryâ the movie pretty much sunk it and favored the former.
Political Correctness is the idea that you can foster tolerance in a diverse world through the intolerance of anything that strays from a clinical standard.
