The only thing he needed to do was get a veriable speed motor and spend a minute or two setting it up so that it would hit whatever key (or even keys) he wanted it to hit and skill up his weapons while he was in another room or out to the store, or what not.  This can easily be simulated through software as well if you don't want the external mechanical addition and you could even have some randomness too it. 

Sure it's a pretty benign use of 'unfair play' but it is unfair play none the less. Linux had nothing to do with it and if the guy can't see that, oh well.

Yeah, Linux has nothing to do with this...it was auto-training his skills while watching TV.
