"Back To Gaya" - 1st German Full-CGI Feature! - nobbie - 03-11-2004 Germany finally has its own fully animated CGI feature a la "Toy Story", "Shrek" etc. It's called "Back To Gaya" and will be shown in theatres starting March 18, 2004. For more informations, check out these links (German language): http://www.backtogaya.de/ http://www.mysan.de/article2246.html http://www.mysan.de/review138.html There are also lots of links in other languages like English, just do a web search for your country. This, by the way, is what Google was asking me when I tried to find out if 3ds max was used for this CG animation fim: Google-Gaya! (the German "Meinten Sie: ..." means "Did you mean to search for: ..." under the English version of Google) For non-insiders: The 3D modeling and animation program 3ds max - although extensively used as game creation tool (i.e. Diablo 2, Warcraft 3 etc.) in the past years - was never really accepted as professional film creation 3D tool, which is always a hot debate among the 3D fans :) |
