Ignores Target's Defense - Guest - 05-17-2004 So I was mephing yesterday and I found this swords. It's a pretty nifty sword called Lightsabre (it's a phase blade). It has a bunch of mods, among them, a mod saying 'Ignores target's defense.' I always thought that defense was how likely you are to hit your target. The higher the enemies' def, the less likely you are to hit them. Am I to understand that this weapon will always hit the target no matter what? Ignores Target's Defense - Griselda - 05-17-2004 I'm on my way to work and can't explain very thoroughly, but you'd probably be interested in reading about to-hit calculations on Tommi's page. -Griselda Ignores Target's Defense - Striker - 05-17-2004 Clicky Note that there are caps to the formula. It can't go lower than 5% nor higher than 95%. Edit: Added note. Ignores Target's Defense - yramrag - 05-28-2004 I was wondering about Conviction, -x% Target Defense and -y To Monster Defense. Does a lvl 7+ conviction (-75+% defense), along with a -25% target defense weapon, actually set the monster defense to zero? I know that -% resist is reduced to 1/5 against immunities, and that ITD works only against normal monster... how about -% defense against champions/uniques/super uniques? yramrag |
