How to avoid crashes in the Monastery - MongoJerry - 05-22-2004
Those who have been in the monastery instances, especially the cathedral one, know how prone they are to repeatedly crash one's client. Well, someone finally figured out what causes most of the crashes -- it has something to do with the mini-map not being able to process some information from the server (some suggested the water sprites from the fountain). Anyway, to keep from crashing, close your mini-map when you are in the monastery entrance by clicking on the read "X" on the minimap. It doesn't solve all crashes, but it seems to solve about 90% of them.

Glad I read this post. My Alliance rogue was in the Monastery last night (alas after a number of hours, the Titan's Book was not with Doan or anywhere in that instance), and the only time I crashed was once when I forgot to turn off that minimap.
