The next generation "Morrowind" - [wcip]Angel - 10-21-2004 My brother (who's almost a big a fan of Morrowind as me) gave me the URL to a couple of scanned pictures from what seems like an X-box magazine. I know there are a few good men here who adore this series as much as me, so I thought I'd share the picures with you. Note, however, that the pictures are huge, and will take some time downloading if you're sitting on a dial-up or ISDN-connection. I have a 3mbit line myself, and still they didn't pop up instantaneously. http://img23.exs.cx/img23/7527/es3oblivion01.jpg http://img23.exs.cx/img23/6572/es3oblivion02.jpg http://img23.exs.cx/img23/1903/es3oblivion03.jpg http://img23.exs.cx/img23/2643/es3oblivion04.jpg http://img23.exs.cx/img23/4796/es3oblivion05.jpg http://img23.exs.cx/img23/1944/es3oblivion06.jpg http://img23.exs.cx/img23/5530/es3oblivion07.jpg http://img23.exs.cx/img23/3484/es3oblivion08.jpg http://img56.exs.cx/img56/5375/es3oblivion09.jpg http://img40.exs.cx/img40/143/es3oblivion10.jpg http://img56.exs.cx/img56/8132/es3oblivion11.jpg http://img56.exs.cx/img56/8973/es3oblivion12.jpg Although the game is at least 1 year away, the graphics look amazing, and if *they* don't appease you, reading the article sure will. They are planning to improve the two areas of Morrowind which weren't all that good: the size and the combat. Morrowind was fun, but Vvardenfell was *too* big. There was too much conversation. Also, the combat was overly simplistic. I'm very optimistic about the next incarnation of the Elder Scrolls-series. Hmm, I might have to look into that! :) The next generation "Morrowind" - Treesh - 10-21-2004 Yrrek,Oct 21 2004, 02:30 PM Wrote:Hmm, I might have to look into that! :) You'll have to wait a little bit for any info except what's in the scans of the GameInformer article since there was an exclusivity contract between GI and Bethesda, which is soon to be over. BTW, the scans violate that contract, but since the contract is almost completed, oh well. Pete (the PR rep for Bethesda, not the Pete here) said sometime this week there will be an update of some sort at the official Elder Scrolls site and it will probably be tomorrow because the week's almost up and also, they only ever really do "big" updates to the site on Fridays. The next generation "Morrowind" - Mithrandir - 10-21-2004 A new Morrowind game sounds nice and all, but it's really all about Falout 3 :) It looks like Bethesda is doing some fantastic work over there. --Pete (Pierluigi) The next generation "Morrowind" - eppie - 02-28-2009 Prova a guardare dottor house in Inglese, cosi forse impari l'inglese e non devi piu scrivere su questo forum in italiano. Minchia'o The next generation "Morrowind" - --Pete - 02-28-2009 Hi, Indeed, House is an excellent choice from which to learn English. Especially English (and attitude) as used in this forum. Good advice. BTW, guess I was wrong. Knew you'd worked in Italy, didn't know you spoke Italian. Sorry. --Pete The next generation "Morrowind" - eppie - 03-01-2009 Quote:Hi,No problem, however I don't think this 'guy' was a candidate for a yearslong 'lounge membership', hence my rude answer. And indeed I see now that the post was removed. ps.I think Occhi speaks Italian as well. The next generation "Morrowind" - Crusader - 03-02-2009 Oh noes! the corpse! You raised it! IT IS ALIIIVE! This thread must be CLEANSED! EXTERMINATUS! The next generation "Morrowind" - Zyn - 03-17-2009 Quote:Oh noes! the corpse! You raised it! IT IS ALIIIVE! lol On a side note, I really enjoyed Oblivion but the content was pretty simple compared to Daggerfall and Morrowind. Enjoyable though for sure. -Z The next generation "Morrowind" - Rhydderch Hael - 03-18-2009 Quote:lol On a side note, I really enjoyed Oblivion but the content was pretty simple compared to Daggerfall and Morrowind. Enjoyable though for sure.Thread's like a Dread Zombie: it'll spontaneously regenerate health. If you leave it alone for a while, it'll come back at you at full strength. My current chaarcter has a whole "Ice Queen" theme going, and while traveling on the Blue Road to the Imperial City, she finished off an axe-weilding Redguard bandit with a nifty little spell I named the 'Curse of Skadi' â frost + paralysis. Gives the fleeting impression that the target is momentarily frozen when they get hit. Trick is, the Bandit remained paralyzed after she was killed. The corpse remained in a running, fighting stance while the battleaxe dropped out of her hands. Oddest thing I've seen of late. The next generation "Morrowind" - [wcip]Angel - 03-18-2009 A curse indeed:)That's a hell of a spell! The next generation "Morrowind" - Obi2Kenobi - 03-22-2009 And here I was thinking this thread was about Elder Scrolls 5. |
