item disappearance timer? - dta - 03-21-2005

I recall visiting a website where someone had made a study on how long it takes for items to disappear. He had made a test with "gold" (money), quest items, unique items (gold), set items (green), rare items (yellow), magic items (blue), ethereal items (gray), socketed items (grey), plain items (normal), gems, runes, etc.

I can't seem to find the said webpage again and forgot what were the exact timers for each of the item types.

What I can only recall was that the longest lasting items are uniques (gold), I think it was 30 minutes before they disappear (on the ground, if left untouched). And I think it was 20 minutes for rare and set items, and 10 minutes for blue items?

Can someone point me again to that page (I can't seem to find it via Google since I don't know the exact keywords to search for that page)? Or perhaps someone recalls what are the exact timers for each item type. Thanks.

IIRC, quest items never disappear though. Gold (money) have a very long timer too (but they do disappear after a long time period).

Yup, indeed, that's the one I read before. Thanks! (How did you find it so quickly?)

Apandapion's (His Amazon Basin forum name.) work was usually memorable for me, and that piece has always stuck out. I don't have it bookmarked, but I knew right where to find it.
