Escort and Emperor tonight on Stormrage - Tal - 07-05-2005
Hey gang. Shalandrax is upto the escort, Emperor and attunement in BRD. I'd like to knock that out if I could tonite. Aiming for an 8 o'clock in the instance-lets kick ass-start. Anyone interested?

I can't be around (and Galreth needs the Emp too :() but you are not going to want to do both Jail Break! and the Emp in one run. I would very strongly suggest setting up two separate runs for these two quests as an escort takes 1.5 hours or so on its own and gets you no closer to the Emperor than you are when you first walk in the door...

Agreed. Gnolack still needs the emperor too (he needs heart of the mountain as well). However doing them together doesn't really save you any time at all. It might be better to do the escort, do masquerade and then have a group for the winterspring cave afterwards. I know I just do not want to solo that cave and do naked corpse runs. Masquerade is more fun in a group/raid as well.
We got 5 people through the escort yesterday that needed it. Taranna, Etheramwen, and I believe Pavis, did not do masquerade or the cave though.
Taranna can heal jailbreak just fine or Gnolack can tank the crap out of it, either or.

You realize that if I keep my other commitments to running the emperor that you've locked the group as Shalandrax, Gnolack, Aleri, Sabramage, and Littledude? I don't know of the other two are available and you already know about Treesh's status. :)
The emp is one of the fights that I'm using as a discovery event for me as well. I've been in the room, I know how to get there, but that is about all I know about it, well you don't want to kill the princess and there is something about tricky scouting and getting torches or something. I know those trash mobs in that room are on about a 60 second respawn timer too.

Heh, the Emperor is not in that room (wow would that be awful). You have just a little bit more discovery to do before you get to him. You can ask Sabra or Ruv as they were with me when we got up to the Emp (but wiped when we failed to control a runner and the Emp added on us :().

For the record, Starsong needs both Jailbreak and the Emperor too. However, 8:00 EST is too early for me any weeknight (except maybe this Friday. I might be off work early). 8:30 is the earliest, if traffic is close to ideal, that I can start anything. And I have alternate plans tonight at 11:30 server time anyway, but it sounds like you're full for this run. Just keep me in mind if you schedule anything else, please.

Hmm, due to my personal schedule this week I might not be available during standard night instancing hours much this week (I've already commited for Wed. which is my free day). Maybe we can try to set up an Emp run (or two or three) for Friday?

I don't know the way and I'm not completely familiar with the Lycaneum (sp? - the encounter you talk about above) but I am familiar with how to do the final battle. Just let me know how much or how little you would like me tell you. Though I'm sure that when you get to the final battle you'll realize, given the make up of the group, how to handle the encounter fairly quickly. :)

Wednesday would probably be better for me also on an emperor run. Tonight might be best to just do a jailbreak for some that are up to it.
To those one the emporer run, I have some important things that you should look at doing prior to the run, but reserve that for an in game discussion. Just make sure that there is a minimum of 1.5 hours prior to the run to do this; the day before may be even better. For the Lyceum area, I gave some thought to what had happened in there with Galreth and think some variation of that could give us a better overall run in that section. We had in my opinion some deaths that should not have happened there and what I am thinking of would take a little longer, but be better suited to avoiding those problems.

Lycaeum: Move fast, and stick close together.
The Empreror fight isn't too difficult if you know how it operates, but I won't spoil it for anyone.
Another useful piece of information: You don't need to go into the cave to get to Haleh in Winterspring for the Drakefire Amulet quest. When you reach the cave, head into the mountains of the left side. The last jump to get to the hill she is on can be a little tricky and it may take you a few tries.

He has been on one attempt that ended in disaster in the Lycaeum. I would have guessed that some of the spawns were on 30 second timers. I watched baddies that had just been killed spawn right on top of the party. He can usually be there by 8pm EST.

I'm always willing to help people get quests done. I've got a tank or a healer who can go through jailbreak depending on the group composition.
