hey i downloaded the shareware version of the game "-P...and whe ni wanna connect to battle net i cant...is there a patch for the demo?

I know there's a patch for the spawn version. I don't know if there's a specific shareware patch, or if the spawn patch works on both spawn and shareware versions. (Spawn and shareware versions are pretty much identical, the first one provided on the diablo cd, while the other is distributed much like a regular demo, these should not be confused with the pre-release demo)

i did download and update it..but when i go to join game i dont see any games available..and when i create no one joins

That's natural. Shareware Diablo users can't join ordinary Diablo games.

Not that there are that many more games if you're on the full version. Less than a thousand people on Battle.net at any given time, most of them playing in private games, at least after level 15ish.
