Patch v2.0 - Zarathustra - 11-29-2006

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.h...=51145118&sid=1

Next Tuesday. Be ready!

I've already given my bank a final triage and disenchanted what needed to be nuked. Looking forward to the new talents and (thank god) the extra bank space.

Patch v2.0 - NiteFox - 11-29-2006

Great, I can now spend my talents for every level up between now and then as I see fit.

Patch v2.0 - Artega - 11-29-2006

EDIT: Should've read the blue post before posting here:)

Patch v2.0 - Concillian - 11-29-2006

Woot!, my level 40 enchanting alt will be extra useful. I don't even think I'll have to go to Uldaman, I think I can DE all the stuff I do now at 225 Enchanting.

Now I just have to make sure to get the final 3000 AV rep for my warlock.

Patch v2.0 - LochnarITB - 11-29-2006

Oh, my poor UI! I wonder if I can find 2.0 betas for my mods to rebuild before the patch hits? Has anyone seen a 2.0 beta for CTMods? So many mods, so little time...

wowinterface has a section for beta mods. I'd assume this is also 2.0x mods:

http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/cat89.html

Itemrack and bagnon have already been updated, so a good chunk of my concerns are out of the way.
Discord looks like it won't be updated until after the patch, so I'm going to look at ACE or some other fully customizable unit frame / action bar mods.

Here are some of my favorites that have been updated... some are still not finalized, but they should work. ALL ARE FOR 2.0x DO NOT INSTALL UNTIL AFTER PATCH:
Natur Enemy Castbar: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info...Castbar_BC.html
Bagnon: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info...Crusade%29.html
CT_mod: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info...Release%29.html
Itemrack: http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/info...ng_Crusade.html

Hehe, in preperation for this patch I've completely butchered my UI and stripped it down to the bare basics that I need, as well as removing all macros that won't be translatable in 2.0.

It's actually quite refreshing to play with a really simple UI again, and my memory usage has dropped by over 20mb.:D

Speaking of Itemrack... Blizzard added commands that allow you to use and equip items by name. And there is a built in enemy castbar in the next patch as well afaik.

The advantage of Natur's castbars over the new default ones is that it tracks the duration of certain buffs and debuffs as well as the castbar itself. That way, you can see if divine protection is going to wear off before hearthstone is cast. :shuriken:

On a side note: Has anyone found a TBC version of ABInfo? Really love that mod, and would hate it if I had to start using a bar mod just for cool down numbers and range info.:)

Yeah, actually divine protection, berserker rage, and ice block are probably the main things I like to see.

I like it for Hamstring and to keep track of my stun diminishing-returns timers:)

SpellAlertSCT takes care of keeping track of when my target tries to squeeze a spell off.

Patch v2.0 - nobbie - 12-05-2006

So, are your servers in the U.S. up yet, and if, is everything running smooth? Any problems with the new talents?

Patch v2.0 - Lissa - 12-05-2006

Not sure, the announcement said 1 PM Pacific for uptime which is still about 2 1/2 hours away.

Patch v2.0 - Arethor - 12-05-2006

US Servers are still down as of 2 seconds ago =)

Patch v2.0 - Urza-DSF - 12-05-2006

And an update shows realms will be down for another 5 hours, with the reasons in what I assume will be 20-30 mins

the realms are slowly coming up now

edit: and slowly going right back down

Patch v2.0 - Zarathustra - 12-06-2006

Terribly disappointing. This is not the v2.0 we were expecting, but rather a direct port of what was on the PTR. The talent changes such as Cloak of Shadows being trainable and replaced by Shadowstep? Absent. Dire Bear form's 450% armor? Nope.

This was the PTR served up on a platter to us as if it were a working build.

Patch v2.0 - Kevin - 12-06-2006

I'm angry.

They changed the holy fire graphic. It's not impressive anymore.

To quote bonemage "All hail the new holy fart!".

Not sure why this bugs me so much but it does.

Patch v2.0 - Zarathustra - 12-06-2006

Another blunder...

Blizzard changed the loot tables with this PATCH rather than waiting for the expansion.

What does that mean? Well, expect Judgement Breastplates to drop Hordeside now.

Patch v2.0 - nobbie - 12-06-2006

From Blizzard poster Drysc:

Quote:I post the information I'm given, and unfortunately the information I gave doesn't seem to be what happened. At all times we attempt to give information that is solid as giving glimpses into an uncertain future sometimes turn out with different results, and that's what happened (to my dismay) here.

If you want to believe that I maliciously mislead you then there's not much I can do to change your mind. If you jumped to that conclusion I would be led to believe that I wouldn't be able to.

I'm in the process of trying to find out what the situation was and what ended up occurring. In any case the post I had made before wasn't mean to imply that the very newest talents on the beta realms the day of the patch release would be included, simply something newer than what was on the PTRs; however even that didn't seem to end up happening.
