Here's mine:

Here's my wife's:

My wife, ONCE AGAIN, kicked my ass this year:( I like to think of myself as a fairly artistic guy with good hand-eye coordination, but I honestly don't know how she does all those curves and fiddly cuts on a pumpkin.

I always get even with her by the virtue that I know how to roast the pumpkin seeds into deliciousness, which she would never even attempt.

First off, here are our pumpkins...

And yes, the lower one which is far more skillful belongs to my girlfriend.

Now, how many people are having trouble with their jack o' lanterns? Our erupted into some sort of mold within a couple days, and I'm seeing on news sites that the reason for pumpkin prices is a shortage, brought on by fungus growing in the crops.

Wish I'd gotten a picture of the two of them all deflated after just two days... It was like they... ate... themselves...

(queue scary music)

What I do to make a carved pumpkin last longer is to coat the insides with Vaseline. I always get funny looks at the supermarket checkout when I am buying 2 pumpkins and a jar of Vaseline
