I built a GitHub repository aimed to make Diablo 1 and Hellfire file formats specifications freely available in the long term: https://github.com/savagesteel/d1-file-formats
I'm sure a lot of people here have knowledge on the file formats and I will be happy to get some feedback or even better contributions to this project

Since old sources are lost or very hard to find, its good to see your documentary work in proper place.
