Heroes of the Storm - Saturday, March 11 - Bolty - 03-09-2017
I want a new mount!
Come join me on Saturday, March 11th at 2:00 PM eastern time (GMT -5:00) to play 15 Heroes of the Storm matches using a Warcraft hero. This must be done with a Battle.Net friend (or friends!), so link up with me and let's have some fun.
Set aside your irreconcilable Lounge-based political differences and let's jam! Don't know how to play Heroes of the Storm? No worries, I don't either! We'll play beginner-level matches and just enjoy our sucktitude together while we rack up quick wins. Expect the process to take between 1.5 to 2.5 hours. See you Saturday!
*I believe I can only play with up to four others at a time, so if demand is popular (haha, yeah right), I can't guarantee a slot.

If you're still going when I get home form work, I might just join in. It's been a while since I played HotS, but it's definitely quite fun. It has a pretty gentle learning curve as well.

I just saw this, and have not played HoTS for a while. but I do still have an account. While you were all playing, I was at the movies with my son and wife, watching *Logan*.

Hah, I'll quote a review I posted in my guild's forum back in 2015 when Blizzard had a similar promotion going on to tease WoW players into trying their MOBA.

Today I learned that MOBAs are s***.
It's like playing random battlegrounds in WoW:
- The community is toxic. "You all suck" is so commonplace.
- Pug players just don't care about objectives. Many players are totally clueless. Not everyone's going to be skilled at the game, but there's just basic stuff to understand and so many players don't get the basic stuff. The game tells you what to do on each map's loading screen and yet people ignore it! (Why doesn't WoW do this?)
- Since going solo is fairly useless, if nobody's going for objectives and you are, you just die a lot and look terrible statwise (the "I'm topping the leaderboard, you guys suck" effect)
Now, random pug battlegrounds are a sidegame in WoW. They're the ENTIRE game in MOBAs. Unless you have a dedicated team of 4 mates that you enjoy playing games with, I don't see the attraction. I only see frustration. I know some of you here play the hell out of LoL and now HotS, but...I don't see it.
