Ah, OK, MLK's widow is an expert criminologist?

What am I missing here?

There are to many little things that simply do not add up. When seen by themselves, they are trivial. When seen together, there is obviously something wrong with the picture.

MLK's death could have been carried out by spooks because of him becoming a bit to vocal about the Viet Nam war, as well as all the other things that he instigated. He was dangerous. Well loved. He had both black and white folks that followed him and shared is views.

He also had some SERIOUS enemies with the Nation of Islam here in America because of his views on whites and blacks living together and sharing a common dream. The very idea made Farrakhan FURIOUS. MLK was undermining the Nation of Islam's hard work toward seperatism and superiority.

Lots of people wanted him dead. The Klan had a huge price placed on his head.

Lots of folk with motive. JER was the public scapegoat. Some poor country bumpkin that's way to stupid to pull off something so elaborate.

Sort of like the magic bullets that killed JFK.

No I meant the other sides "they".

I was going to disect your post to show the lack of substance.

But I cant.
Its like trying to perform a quality inspection on a building - where all the bricks are made of jello.

JER was a good shot. So was Alvin York. "Country bumpkins" who can shoot straight still kill when they hit their targets.

The multiple shooter issue, Jack Ruby angle, is on thinner ice than ub the JFK case. JER confessed. WTF if you didn't do it? He was post Miranda.

If you didn't do it, YOU DON"T CONFESS. Come on, folks, let's play logic 101.

A lot of folk are forced in to confessions, for whatever reason. Doesn't mean they did it, just means they were tortured, plied, blackmailed, or otherwise arm twisted in to doing so. Police round these parts get false confessions out of people all the time.

New Orleans Arising Phoenixlike from Ashes - Guest - 09-13-2005

I agree that confessions dont mean much - unless the guy sticks by the confession in actual court.

But really - its not hard to shoot someone from a technical and intelligence stand point - sometimes a ducks a duck.
As "Mr Guns for the Revolution" you ought to know that.

You would have needed some brains to have found MLK.

When he checked in to a hotel, he had decoys using his name checking in to rooms all over town. He went under a secret identity. Whomever shot him would need to have known intimate details of his personal life, like where to actually find him, at what place at the right time. And to do that takes some brains.

Just by two pence. I am not alone in my thinking.

New Orleans Arising Phoenixlike from Ashes - Doc - 09-13-2005

Janet Reno actually reopened the case, and in Dec. 1999, a Memphis jury awarded the King family a symbolic $100 in a wrongful death suit. The jury professed that the murder was indeed a conspiracy involving bar owner Lloyd Jowers. But this theory has all kinds of holes in it, but also a lot of credibility. Probably another carefuly controlled patsy to keep people from looking any higher up in the circles of power.

JER only plead guilty as part of a plea bargain to save his own life. His lawyer was all set with a lot of money being offered to him for a movie deal and exclusive details.

And what of the mysterious "Raul?" You have to know the case to know the name. Yes, lots of discreditation, but still remains a shadow of doubt. Nobody can actually prove anything one way or the the other.

Lyndon Johnson, according to the King family's own investigations, was one of the men involved.

The real problem is that there is entirely to much actual evidence pointing in to many directions. And that is what stinks. It's like seeding your trail to throw off the hounds so they can't find you. The very fact that so much actual evidence exists that does seem to point in conflicting directions proves that there is some sort of smoke screen here.

New Orleans Arising Phoenixlike from Ashes - kandrathe - 09-13-2005

For those interested in the case, reexamined by Janet Reno, from the Dept. Of Justice point of view.

There are smokescreens, and there are smokescreens. :P None of any of what you have presented explains why Ray fled the country, why he confessed, or why a dozen other things. In his defense, as an ex con he was bound to be reluctant to be "caught" but as an ex con, WHY THE HELL WOULD HE CONFESS???

Oh, wait, all convicts and ex cons are paragons of truth and vitrue, just as all politicians and attorneys are. What was I thinking?

Sorry. The BS meter just got pegged.

Check out The Hurricane Hoax. Both journalists and zealous attorney's fall in love with conspiracy theories, regardless of even modest facts to the contrary. Hollywood producers are even worse about it . . .

Why is that?

What faction in our public life, in our media, in our variagated culture, wishes to continually push conspiracy as the agency of oppression or injustice?

Who benefits from the constant barrage of that theme?

Who is the target of that theme?

What is the political aim?

Examine each political conspiracy theory on its own merit to find the targets. Weapons in Information Warfare.

Ray died in 1998. Any chance of getting the truth from him just passed to either Satan or St Peter . . . and they aren't calling press conferences.

Whoever his accomplices were, and I accept that he had at least one, have either cleaned up after themselves very nicely, or are dead as well, or both.

Here is a theory. His one point of contact to the conspiracy was his brother. For the good of the family, and out of a sense of family loyalty, he didn't finger his brother. Remember, he'd been a jailbird for years.

Every attempt to pierce the veil was managed so clumsily that it was badly telegraphed.

We aren't ever going to know, and Jesse Jackson is still breathing good people's air while a leader lies in an early grave. No justice.

Agreed.

JJ was just here in my town not to long ago running his big fat mouth. I had the terrible misfortune of getting to say hello to him. To my credit, I remained civil. He was down here running his fat mouth and stirring up a racial hornets nest... Now folks are all agitated and there is a boatload of racial tension all over town. He just had to come down here and talk about those four good ol boys that jumped out of a truck and ambushed that poor (black) little boy on the roadside, as well as the hit and run done on another black child. Something needed to be said, outrage needs a voice, BUT NOT HIS! He made everything worse. You can feel the tension in the air round here, cut it with a knife. It's the worst kind of racial tension... Where nobody is really saying anything to anybody's face, but saying everything behind somebody's back, but everybody knows that everybody else is thinking it and saying it, and there aint no daggum steam escaping... Just rising pressure.

He actually used the words "White Devils."

You should never, ever, under any circumstances, say those particular words.

And now he's running his mouth about the hurricane.

Seems the 24/7 media age was tailor made for folk of that ilk. :(
