"Is the Hireling Information on Spireas site correct?"

   http://www.lurkerlounge.com/spirea/Hirelings/Stats.shtml

Hail Lurkers,

I'm trying to figure out if a Defiance merc is worth the added defense, but have run across a problem with spirea's site. ALL hirelings in hell display their middle Abilities as 16, no matter what level I make the merc. Is this a mistake or is this the way it is? If this is the way it is, then it seems the Normal merc would be a much better investment as not only all of his stats are higher than a hell mercs, but his defiance level is also higher.

The site is accurate. Normal mercs will have better stats and a higher level aura than their Hell counterparts. The only aura that isn't capped is Might, but I believe that is a bug.

Note stats are not affected by what level the merc starts out at, only the difficulty they are hired in.
